Daniel Island is continuing to grow, and Nowell Creek Village is becoming one of the island’s most notable new developments. The 37-acre waterfront community is transforming the former Blackbaud campus into a mixed-use destination with new housing, office space, green space and waterfront amenities.
New Housing on Daniel Island
Residential development is already well underway at Nowell Creek Village. Fenland Townhomes offers 50 three- and four-bedroom marshfront rental homes ranging from approximately 2,100 to 2,400 square feet, with two-car garages and water views.
The community is also home to Atlantic Nowell Creek, which offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Additional residential growth is planned, including 24 townhomes facing Daniel Island Drive as part of the development’s second phase. The Daniel Island News reported that the preliminary designs for those townhomes were approved in December 2025.
More Than a Residential Development
What makes Nowell Creek Village especially interesting for Daniel Island real estate is that the project is designed as a mixed-use community rather than simply another residential neighborhood.
At the center is Marshside, a renovated Class A office building that serves as an anchor for the development. The community also features public green space, a dock and connections to Daniel Island’s trail network. Future plans include waterfront dining and experiential retail, adding more opportunities for residents and visitors to gather along the water.
